Hello BoS.

I did my HSC in 2012. I got an ATAR of 77.65. The subjects and marks I got are:

Maths: 91
Maths Extension 1: 45
English Standard: 69
Biology: 86
Physics: 87
Visual Arts: 79

I did 1 full year of Bachelor of Applied Physics at UTS. I got the following results:

Chemistry 1: 72 Credit
Mathematical Modelling for Science: 84 Distinction
Foundations of Physics: 94 High Distinction
Cell Biology and Genetics: 83 Distinction

Chemistry 2: 74 Credit
Physics in Action: 92 High Distinction
Statistics and Mathematics for Science: 78 Distinction
Introduction to Materials: 70 Credit

My GPA is 3.25.

What are my chances of being able to successfully transfer to Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering at the University of Sydney?

Thank you very much.

BUMP!

I'd say you have a good chance, but that depends on the number of applicants applying for those courses directly from 2013 Year 12s.

By the way, how's Mathematical Modelling for Science + Statistics and Mathematics for Science? Did you have Brian Stephenson as your lecturer? I initially had him for my Mathematics major but then dropped. I'm still contemplating whether to study Medical Science or Nanotechnology as my Science major.
