Can you change one of the subjects that you've done in year 11 to another in year 12? Like at the end of year 11 or the beginning of year 12? Like for example if you did chemistry in year 11 can you change it to Studies of religion or legal studies? Do you have to complete the preliminary units for the specific subject you wish to do in HSC or do you just have to do 12 preliminary units (2 units English) of any subject?

Unless you have 12 units and you want to drop a subject

You have to have prove you can do preliminary assessment tasks and have done them for a particular subject before you can suddenly change into year 12 of that subject-this is often very hard to prove.

Completing preliminary is a prerequisite for HSC (excluding senior science to my knowledge)
