Is it true that simple alkanes C1-C8 have low flash points, below room temperature because they have low melting and boiling points and are volatile?

The flash point of a liquid hydrocarbon or other volatile liquid is the minimum temperature which the vapour pressure of the substance is just sufficient to form a combustible mixture of the vapour within the air. Generally, the higher the bpt of a hydrocarbon fuel, the higher the flash pt.
