Hi guys ,
I was reading about physical and chemical changes from a variety of sources and I saw that some sources said that in physical changes, particles are rearranged while other sources it says only chemical changes involve rearrangement of particles. Im writing notes now and im really confused.

I know chemical changes definitely involve rearrangement of particles, but do physical changes?

I think a physical change is when the particles rearrange

however a chemical change is when the particles of the substance are broken apart, and the atoms are rearranged into new particles, forming a new substance.
