Sorry guys, I know that this general spiel must've been posted heaps of times but I'm really worried. I'm not really asking HOW to study in this case, more like WHAT to study.

I'm from NSBHS and it would help heaps if any old boys could answer me too =]]

ATM, we're using Chemistry Pathways 1 and for every assessment, I've looked through the textbook along with the syllabus, but when i actually get the test, none of it seems to be what I studied! *groans* Any ideas? I'm worried that I'm taking the wrong angle and studying the wrong things?

if you do alot of questions and papers then your bound to come across the areas covered in your exam and by doing alot you cover the same aspect from different angles.... i find answering alot of questions properly helps more than just reading a textbook or making/reading syllabus notes....

It has basically all the information you need as written in the syllabus. It doesn't give you all the unnecessary and sometimes confusing details other textbooks seem to give. It has a lot of colour and diagrams which makes reading it less tedious, and the exercises in it are a lot of help if you take them seriously.
