If you disagree or have questions PM me or reply and i will edit if i see fit.

How do you get to heaven?

By Grace alone and trusting in Jesus as lord as savior and living as a living sacrifice for him. Ephesians 2:8-9
for it is by grace you have been saved through faith in christ Jesus not by good works so that no one can boast

What about good works?

Most Christians believe good works go not save you but are a reflection of faith

Why did Jesus Die?

As a sacrifice for our sins. He took the punishment for our sins, the punishment for sin is death and he took the punishment for everyone who believes in him.

Why is there sin?

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Because we sinned and it has been passed down the generations (to put it simply) we have inherited it

Why does Bad stuff happen in the world?

because we sinned and we cause the bad stuff to happen, if we never sinned then the world would be perfect

What is the difference between Catholicism and Protestantism?

Beliefs. THEY ARE VERY DIFFERENT:
Catholics believe and protestants don't:
-Purgatory
- salvation by works
- Sacraments like penance, protestants believe only God can forgive sins

What happens to non-christians?

This might sound harsh but Christians believe they suffer Gods Wrath

Do we deserve Hell?

Yes, we sinned

What does the bible say about homosexuality?

Its a sin

Wow. I think you could go into a whole lot more detail here dude (especially with the Catholicism vs Protestantism).

Also you're incorrect. The answers to the first two questions are different depending on which sect of Christianity you ask. Best elaborate, dear, or you're going to offend a lot of varied Christians here.

They believe he is one of the Trinity - i.e. three gods (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) for the price of one.

Now THAT'S polytheism in denial for you!

I love how everything she says is in detriment to the Catholics. They have a lot to answer for but lady, if you're going to put all of those sects under the big umbrella of "Christianity", please take off your "my sect is better than your sect" hat.

Well you're kind of.. half right, with the first question. Salvation is not by Grace alone[/b], nor is it by good works alone; it's a combination of both, atlhough both Catholics and Protestants have a lot of Biblical verses to sling at eachother to try and prove the other wrong.

i am not been denomation specific. I know catholics which believe the above thing, i dont consider myself a certain denonomation. I am basing it on the bible alone.

"Dismiss it because you can't understand it and if we can't understand it, we're not meant to so stop trying to understand it."

lol.

What I meant was three aspects of the same God, which I think sums it nicely.

Well then provide references for both sides. If you can't, you have no business making a thread about Christianity. Make one about your own sect instead.

There's also verses that state that adulterers must be stoned. Try again.

That sums up one of the worst aspects of religion.
