Heres an asessment i done on communication systems:

I got 87% for this assessment

A small to medium sized business of 80 staff members has requested that you present a tender
*you are requseted to design a suitable intranet system
*there would need to be at least one computer for each five staff members
*These components would need to have access to the Internet and to prointers and scanners
*Staff would also need to access their files from other computers

PART 1:
Produce a design brief to the business manager. Include the following:
1. create a schematic diagram of the office areas and computer locations
NOTE: Do NOT include these factors in your final cost!

2. Present a list of each hardware device and provide an explination of why you chose it (Including hubs, cables etc)

3. Present a list of each software package required (including operating system) and provide an explination of why you have chosen them

4. Present a detailed costing for part 3
Budget $60,000

Remember: a small to medium sized business does NOT have a huge budget to spend on it.
(dont forget software licences)
Only for hardware/software of networks

PART 2: MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION:
Your submission to the company has been accepted. You are now required to attend a meeting with the directors to present your brief.

Using multimedia software, demonstrate the usefulness of the system that you have desigmed
I.e. you need to convince "the boss" of the benefits, cost etc. of your submission

Note: Be prepared to justify and explain your choice
Time 3 minutes

PART 3: PRESENTATION HANDOUT
Each student will be given an individual concept/issue from the communication unit
mine is

• 
  1. research the subject:
  e.g.
• Give the latest information on the subject
• How it works and some background on the development of the subject
• Advantages/Disadvantages of the subject in comparision to other technologies
• Demonstration of the subject (This may be done with diagrams)
• Photos
• Bibliography of all sources used to find info

2. Give a 2 min presentation

3. present handout to the other students in your class on your findings

we dont have an assessment for communications.. just our trial >_< man - kinda sux coz it means all the marks come from the trial paper
