I dropped down from advanced late this year, and funny enough had been asked that exact question "the journey, not the arrival, matters" a number of times, for homework. BY doing that question for advanced and for standard texts, i think it is much easier to relate the texts (eg: lionheart and stimulis booklet as well as text of own choosing) to that question, where Away is much harder.

away isnt that hard to relate
you just show how the characters (i did coral, gwen & vic/harry) changed as a result of their experiences....eg. coral could let go of her son's death, gwen realised there's more to life than routines, & vic & harry were able to accept tom's leukemia & inevidable death
