So pretty much I was considering doing a B. of Econ/CompSci cos it seems pretty interesting; they say that assumed knowledge is 3u math in yr 12 and ive often heard that they just say that to get you in cos the uni wants your money - but in reality "you would struggle without having done 4u". Anyone who does compsci in uni, is it necessary to do 4u to not struggle in compsci, or would 3u be enough?

you can for sure do well with a 3u background if you’re determined to learn the math needed. 4u makes it easier for the first math class that everyone will take, but after the first one everyone is on equal ground anyways

Economics has a lot of math too with some parts extending beyond 4u in first year. Still, it's not that bad and you can do well with a 2u or 3u background
