Okay this is the deal.
Strong Nuclear has two indentities. One is the Fundamental SNF and the other is the Resisdual SNF.
The Fundamental is the interaction between Quarks, Colour, and the things that make up hadrons.. this is carried by the messenger particles Gluons which are Bosons.
The Residual force is the interaction between Hadrons (the residual effect of the fundamental force) and keeps the protons/neutrons together. This is mediated through Pi-Mesons or the Pion.
