Hey! This might me a silly question, but are you allowed to copy ideas from exemplar responses or generally other peoples ideas?? Not knowing the essay word to word just their whole story idea.. Would examiners know or will they take marks off?? Thanks

with proper referencing its alowwed, but to say that someone else's idea is your own is a big no no.

no! not copy! just the ideas! I got my own story, but i don't know if its as good. I read another but i like their idea! Without copying word to word and just knowing the ideas, is that okay??

ok theres a fine line between copying idea and plagarism.... honestly though.... creative writing.... its fairly hard to come up with something totally unique... taking little bits of ideas and inspirations from here and there and then turning it into your own story im sure thats fine. HOWEVER if you copy someone elses idea completely and just mayb change the character names then well... thats plagarism.
