i just got sent a bunch of stuff in the mail with information about enrolment and it says how two of the core courses for bcom are ECON1202 and ECON1203 (quantitative methods A and B).

BUT

in last years information booklet about actuarial studies programs it says that those two courses should be replaced by MATH1151 and MATH1251. is this still the case? cuz it says nothing about it in the stuff i got today

thanks

Yes you have to do MATH1151 and MATH1251 instead of the QMA and QMB if you do an Actuarial major - ignore the booklet

one more thing..if im doing a co-major in actuarial studies and finance i know that my option for second semester is ACTL1001..but which of the 1st year finance options should i have as my option in semester 1: FINS1612 (capital markets and institutions) or FINS1613 (business finance)?

thanks again.

You can't do FINS1613 in first semester of first year because of the various prerequisites. You'd have to do FINS1612.
