My PIP topic needs a bit of rewording but, basically, its: "How significant are social and cultural factors in influencing students’ subject and career choice?"
Basically it focuses on the common belief that career path differences in relation to gender are based on biological reasons and my hypothesis is that it's actually largely influenced by society and culture.
Now my problem is that I can't really 'prove' if it is biological or social and cultural.. I can look through studies for biological, but is that sufficient for that section? How can I weight "personal opinions from people" and "secondary research" to find out which is more significant (biological or social and cultural)?
thanks
