There is a hand in creative writing assessment due soon, i sorta need an idea.
I was kind of thinking along the lines of institutionalism and its dehumanising effects, but one is also able to find a sense of belong amongst the other patients, becuase he is not judged like on the outside in society (cause of his condition).

I think it is too cliche atm, can anyone help with with like a twist or something like that.. to spice up the story and to add more aspects of belonging. Or even a completley new idea (that one isnt using) would be nice ahhahaha.

If you want ideas on the subject of belonging in a mental asylum, read 'The Treatment' and 'The Cure' by Peter Kocan (he wrote both books while he was institutionalised)

I never realised how perfectly these books fit to the belonging module...
