I was already at MQ but changed courses through UAC.
How do I get credit for the units that I did last year that I need for my new course?
It says on the website that I have to fill out a form that I have and;

"supply complete official transcripts of all your previous studies (end-of-semester results slips are not acceptable). An official transcript is a complete record of each qualification attempted including all grades achieved. It will be presented on an institution letterhead and possibly on watermarked paper".

What exactly is an offical transcript? I don't believe I have anything like that except for the results page on estudent. Is that what they are talking about?

Also, since I'm applying for credit for previous studies, does that mean I go into uni to enrol on the 15th February, instead of the day for my course in between 29th January and 4th February?

The transcipt is something you need to order from the university you were previously at, UWS for example you can order online or from the uni and it costs $20 (i think).

You go to the credit for previous study day on the 15th I believe because they need time to sort it out but were u at mac previously? If you were I could be wrong so just check it out if you are unsure.

for non exotic courses, they give credits just like that.

the only time they need to investigate is if you did a course at University of Curry University in afghanistan.

all the major unis in australia Accounting 1a is the same as accounting 1a anywhere else

Not true, actually.. they've got about 100 handbooks from different universities in differnt countries, and people who specialise in certain areas/uni's, down in Undergraduate Studies (the department you deal with, in getting CPS)... so it's not "just like that". It's meant to look like that to students, though :)

ok in regards to original posters question, I am in the same situation. I am transferring from an existing Mq degree, externally through UAC, back into another Mac degree.

I went to Lincoln building to submit my credit for previous studies form, and they said they changed the process late this afternoon. Apparently, as of today, we need not do anything and everything will happen for us.

Sounds too good to be true so I'm going to confirm with e-student support.

Really? I sent my form off yesterday for the transcript. How annoying. Oh well at least I'll have it just incase.

Do you know how we un-enrol out of our original degree? Cause I have both of my degrees still on e-student. Will I be un-enrolled once I enrol into my new degree?

NOOOO... (I'm working there at the moment. lol)
...we'd just talk to SES to confirm, so if that's the way things work now, that's the way things work. Best bet will be to wait till mid-semester or so, and if it's not been transferred across as they've promised, then chase it up.

..nope, it'll still be on the system. You 'unenrol', or withdraw from units, you stay in degrees and never leave.. muahahaha.
Nah, just don't enrol in anything in that degree. Do confirm with SES if you're worried about it, though, or do a search for 'discontinuing studies', or smoethign to that accord, on the MQ website.
