Does anyone have any good resources about the Cuban Missile Crisis? I know about the movie Thirteen Days but I'm wondering whether it's good enough to at least get an honest background of the Crisis.

I'd appreciate it if you could provide any notes on:

1. How or why it happened
2. The impact it had on the rest of the world
3. Relations between the US and the Soviet Union during this time period
4. JFK's actions: Were they the best course of action? Could something more have been done about the missiles the US had surrouned Russia with?
5. The Soviet perspective in the Crisis, Khrushchev's memoirs.
