Hi Guys,
Just checking out the various courses offered at MacQ and I wanted to know the difference between the Bachelor of Commerce majoring in accounting opposed to the Bachelor of Commerce - Professional Accounting, there is only 1 ATAR point difference between the two.
Does anyone know?
Cheers

Hi LachS

It is very important that you understand the distinction between a BCom-Accounting and BCom-Prof Accounting. BCom-Prof Accounting should be done if you want to be a chartered accountant (in other words, have a CA/CPA qualification). On the other hand, BCom-Accounting does not allow you to be a chartered accountant but the degree is more flexible. In that I mean, you can do a wider range of subjects and electives.
