Well is it soft or hard tissue, I have heard differing answers from teachers

it occurs when bones in a joint become displaced or misaligned

teachers probably get confused because ligaments always get damaged due to a dislocation, and ligament damage is a soft tissue injury, but the dislocation itself is a hard tissue injury
