I have an assessment due in the next couple of days, and in it we have to evaluate the importance of the legal processes and institutions established as safeguards in the Australian Constitution. I've got all my safeguards (High Court, Referendum, Division of Power and Separation of Power), but I'm having quite a bit of trouble in finding evidence for the last two. Too much bullshit to wade through on the Internet.

Does anybody know of any good sites/resources I can use as evidence?

Just for future reference, when using the internet to search for legal definitions and information, use google scholar instead of google, it gives academic responses to your search, so you dont have to wade through "Bullshit" as you said.
But there in lies the purpose of research, you find what is relevant to your study/assignments.

All the Best
