For many of my subjects, I have tutorials before lectures scheduled on my timetable.

More than likely your labs and tutes will start in week 2. Check your timetable for reference just to make sure.

Most courses commence tutorials and labs in the second week, but do note that COMP1917 tutorials/labs commence in Week 1.

For some subjects, your tutorial will start in the first week BUT most of them start in week 2.

What if my lab/tut starts right after the lecture ?
Most lectures finish early, I had one finish an hour early most of the time its like 10 minutes or more and you have plenty of time to get to tuts

Check your emails, lecturers would tell you when tutorials and lectures start.

Not necessarily. I have classes starting tomorrow but I have not received any e-mails.

Check your timetable.

As a general rule, the lecture starts 5 minutes after the indicated time and finishes 5 minutes before the indicated time. For example, if it says there is a lecture from 10am - 11am. It will start at 10:05 am and finish 10:55 am.
yep this. also, the "as a general rule" part should be emphasised. some lecturers from what I've heard fail to follow this...

Then go to your lab/tute.
omg lost it HAHAHA
