Well I started uni, and im thinking of switching one of my subjects from quantitative methods to something much easier within the Arts and social sciences faculty. Will this affect my chances on being accepted into honors for Eco or being offered a place?

If you're talking about Quantitative Methods in Economics (ECON1003), it's not included in the major. So they won't care if you haven't done that unit.
