they want you to give a statement according to their criteria and then you don't give an actual DEFINITE answer, cause you write about both sides to the problem too

It’s basically the same thing. I can’t think of any differences except maybe evaluate might involve a more explicit opinion whereas in assessing you’re evaluating factors?………… nah they’re the same, I stand corrected

my teacher made a list of nesa verb w/ defintions. this is what they said for assess and evaluate
assess: make a judgment of value, quality, outcomes, results or size
evaluate: make a judgement based on critera, determine the value of

i think evaluate usually means u have to define ur own criteria, while for assess they give u the criteria
like "assess the significance of skibidi toilet" vs "evaluate skibidi toilet"
