a safety precaution to be taken while performing an experiment to investigate cell organelles using a light microscope

and...

When drawing scientific diagrams of cells viewed under a light microscope, outline two rules you need to follow.

Sterilize equipment, wear appropriate protection.

1. Do not circle the diagram with intention of showing the field of view.
2. Always state the magnification, which is given by the ocular lens . objective lens.
3. Do not shade the diagram.
4. Draw all cells closed with lines touching (should be obvious).
5. Label all structures with the labels (straight lines) touching the structure. No arrows. If necessary, their purpose(s).

Always focus up, not down, to prevent breaking the slide?

Aw, but it's so fun?
It's pretty general, and it's like saying don't be a jackass in the lab; don't juggle acids; and don't drop that piece of sodium into wat-

Clean equipment, and cover properly afterwards, so to prevent fungal growth? No one wants to go blind doing Bio.

I think the original poster wants to know the two most important rules when DRAWING diagrams viewed under a light microscopy, which are:

1. Always include a scale.
2. Label all structures.

I don't understand 1). If you do not draw a circle, how can you draw your diagram? Just a whole lot of dots?

Also, what is the hp and lp formula? I have never understood this clearly - all those fractions.

as point one says
1. Do not circle the diagram with intention of showing the field of view.

it means that you don't draw a circle around what you can see- just draw the cell or whatever without an extra circle as a border i.e. field of view

the cells are very small when they are drawn...it seems illogical to draw about 100 dots without order.
