I've got a current problem, I am currently getting 80s or so in the subject, however my classmate (only him and me in 3U) is failing getting 40's and stuff. Would his mark drag my mark down during the HSC??

Quite possibly yes. If your mate is not doing well in 3 unit, ask him if he can drop it, coz its really not fair on you. If he can't, maybe try and help him abit if he's having trouble understanding concepts, and he mighjt be able to pick his marks up a little.

no.. this is a classic situation. assuming you do better than him at school and the HSC then your school marks will be irrelevant.

if the rankings are reveresed in the HSC then both of you will get the same mark.
