So I'm starting year twelve in two days time and am trying to decide on what to drop. I know that alot of kids stick with 12 units to have something to fall back on but I firmly believe I'll be okay with 10.
My problem is my dismal results in Mathematics. I want to drop it but am being advised against it by the head teacher and I dont know what to do.
I have no idea what I want to do after school, Uni is unlikely to be an option til at least 2010. If anything, I could be a journalist, graphic designer, I dont know.
My subjects and marks in prelim are as follows, if that helps:
Earth and Enviro: 80 (1/15)
Advanced English: 75 (1/50)
Mathematics: 52 (6/12)
Visual Arts: 78 (1/17)
Ancient History: 73 (2/45)
IPT: 78 (1/24)
I absolutely killed it in the School Certificate, 2 band 6's and the rest 5s (and yes, that to me is killing it.)
So basically I want advice. Will dropping math have a huge impact on my HSC results? Any advice or input would be hugely appreciated!
Lindsay.
