so I'm doing an assessment on an Othello (the part where Othello kills Desdemona) text and My Last Duchess (another text we have studied) and the question: "narratives connect people within and across culture and times. To what extent is this evident in Othello and one other text?

I'm not sure how to explain this question or how to structure it.

My last duchess is about a duke telling an unidentified person about all his prized possessions and one is a painting of "his" last duchess and implies he had her killed because she was too appreciative of other people especially men.

Your thesis should include 'how narratives connect people'. A quick google search will give you a few options, the main one perhaps being that there are universal human themes. These are things that we all experience in some way and there are examples of these in the two texts you have studied. Find the main themes of each and decide on how/why it is that these are universal (across time and culture). Once you have done so find examples of these in the text and go from there.
