To any of you guys who currently have this book or have heard the quality of this book

1. Is this book worth it to purchase? If so please state your reason

2. If not, please suggest any good STD English HSC textbooks

I am asking this because I may want to purchase this book. If you guys know anyone who is selling this book , I am willing to purchase

Does this book include text analysis, themes and techniques and suggested supplementary texts?

I'd suggest you look in ur school library and photocopy the pages you need.


EDIT: You'll be paying for notes on many texts which you won't even study.

Yes for analysis and techniques, but for supplementary text - yes, but not a lot.

From what i've seen from the english excel books, imo they give a basic understanding/ analysis of the piece however if you were to use what they gave you in your essays, you'd probably get a high band 4/low band 5

(That doesn't mean you can't use their examples and expand on everything they've said)
