I did it. It doesnt really help you in 2u because you study different stuff. You study 5-6 stories and have to know them really well for exams and hsc. Speaking exams are much more complex and you have to be able to talk about much bigger topic areas, also there is a monologue for the hsc speaking. Some creative writing, listening tasks etc too.
Only do 3u if you're really good at german, last year the entire yr 12 ext class (only 4-5 people anyway) dropped it and only 3 accelerated yr 11 students did 3u hsc (including myself).
