i am really frustrated
all the subjects i do don't scale well and i perform really horribly this term
for eg
i ranked 14/15 for bio this term
this accounts for 25% of school assessment
honestly how big is the impact gonna be?
maybe i should really re-do year 12
such a failure

Repeating Year 12 is often regarded as an option students should avoid. Do you honestly believe that repeating Year 12 will GUARANTEE the results you want? It's better to find alternative pathways into the career you want.

If I may ask, what do you want to do?

It's going to make it harder.

Repeating year 12 is a stupid idea.

I for one believe that repeating year 12 is a good idea. However you want to make the best out of it. You need to get a grasp of all your content now and next year you just continually revise which will at least guarantee you a 95 ATAR plus in my opinion unless your half retarded.

If you know where you've gone wrong, and you have a plan to make a reasonable improvement, I don't see why this is a nail in the coffin.

Remember that the school assessments are only 50% of your final mark so the problem isn't serious at the moment.

Why are thinking you will fail, if you received a bad rank so far? You can improved on it and use the bad rank as motivation. Don't underestimate yourself!

Bio will make my ATAR shit. (85 lol)

I'm ranked in the top 10 (/40) but the cohort is incredibly weak and my school hasn't gotten a band 6 in years. Please legal and English save my ass!

Well if you do Gen Maths the syllabus is going to change maybe next year or year after. Also AOS of English is going to change as well

never repeat, never a good idea, ever. you can do soo much in a year outside of school. joina college or tafe if you dont get the desired atar then you can transfer into 2nd of uni after 1 year at tafe.

If you think about it,

well look

I'm on my way to comm/law at UWS. I'm realistic and I accept it. Nothing wrong with it in my personal view, a degree is a degree.

but if someone were to go to tafe, work odd jobs or whatever, it will take significantly longer to get into uni

as oppose to completing HSC again, which can open up more options at once

now of course, I only recommend repeating in the circumstance/instance where there was a tragedy (death in the family, mental withdrawals, something extreme) because if you did the HSC with no tragedy or stresses in your life, you are likely to be plagued by the same issues the second-time round

I got 83 in biology and it didn't count.

I know you think you're joking by saying 'lol' at the end of your biology mark, however in all honestly, it's fucking shit for your ATAR unless you get 90+
