se7en was weird.

Isnt Film Noir defined as 'black' [it was a dark and stormy night] films from the 1940's to the 1950's?
How can se7en, Basic Instinct etc be a part of it then?

the filming techniques if you watch it are also relatble

A lot of the American crime fiction shows on now have elements of film noir, particularly the ones set in New York. Also look at more recent British crime fiction (MIT, The Bill, and others) for the Brit's reply to hard-bitten. Very interesting contrast, and sometimes the Brit's version is darker (because it's more modern?)

Kill Bill could possibly be considered film noir
