does anyway one have a list or something of all the features and forms of a narrative?
and possibly other texts?
i can think of a few... but that is about it.
thanks
key features (over-simplified but easy to understand version)
> orientation: sets the scene and introduces characters
> complication: a problem arises, usually a problem for the good-natured protagonist
> series of events: the problem attempts to be resolved and the story develops
> climax: the emotional, heightened, crux of the story - maybe a death or sad predicament or overwhelming good event occurs - whatever seems well, climatic
> resolution: the problem is resolved - not always in the correct way but the problem at least subsides...
