Hey everyone,

I have a question:

Explain why the anion used in the solutions in the salt bridge does not matter (2 marks)

I'm really not sure about this one..

Thanks in advanced!!!!

I don't really get the question as the choice of solution in a salt bridge is important, because it can precipitate with the electrolyte in either half-cell, which screws up the system. So a proper solution for salt bridge is necessary which it must not cause precipitation, like potassium nitrate (KNO3).

Anion does not matter as long as it cannot precipitate anything

But as Frie said, it's always KNO3
