My maths result this year have not been the greatest so im looking in doing General Maths but i want to be an Architect and it states that recommended studies Adv. Maths. so i was thinking of doing General Maths this year and change next year in June/July (when my principle allows us to change) to Adv Maths, i was also going to try and get straight A's in the tests/exams/assessments for General Maths so would i be able to change?

Subjects Doing Next Year:
Std. Eng
Physics
Economics
Industrial Technology
Ancient History

Do advanced maths!
One of my few goals is also architecture! (along with commerce, engineering, economics, actuarial studies, etc. so plenty of maths related courses)
I reckon Maths Ext 1 is even more beneficial but if you feel as though your maths isn't too good then doing advanced is also a good option!
Physics and advanced mathematics might be a better combination...
Trying to change is risky so just choose it from the beginning?!

Do proper maths so you can drop down later if it's too hard. You can't move up from General.

Please, please can't you start off in Adv??? You can always move down but we're not EVER allowed to move up in a subject. So try to take the higher level to try first always.

You cannot change from general to 2U. The topics taught are completely different anyway..

If you cannot cope with 2U mathematics first thing next year, what makes you think you can cope with it later on?

Pick 2U first and try your best from the very beginning.
