as mr bassman alluded to, theres the Callaghan College, which has nothing to do with the uni, its a secondary education facility.
The Callaghan Campus may be what you're after, the main campus of the University.

Um I don’t mean to act rude or anything, however Callaghan College does have a memorandum of understanding with Newcastle University. This practically means we've established a network with them, where students are able to take advantage of the uni's facilities and where university lecturers continually come over to Jesmond campus and provide knowledge on specific issues. We currently have a senior lecturer examining the teaching methods at Jesmond. Sorry, I’m just trying to promote my school here, and that link with Newcastle Uni is our big drawcard.

Hey it's the one thing that other schools in Newcastle don't have, so yes, it's a drawcard. Think of the marketing possibilities. Lol, a frozen coke machine? I think we already have one of them. Meh, once the new buildings are up Callaghan College will go off.

if you go to the cityrail website, you should be able to find it on there.

from central to broadmeadow is $17 return for a student.
from broadmeadow to warabrook (ie, uni), its $2.80 return for a student.

http://www.cityrail.info/fares/calculator.jsp

out of curiosity, what are you coming up for?

Gotcha, well Jess, im interested in Medicine like most people i know. Newcastle is one of the best in NSW, so i might wanna check it out before i submit an application form.

If i do make it for interview, i'll need to know how to get there too.
Wish me luck :)
