hey guys iwe were having a convo at skool the other day about chicks wanting to skate, im starting to learn how to skate and all my friends are calling me a 'tryhard' im really interested in it, and not because of a certain 'image' just want to know ur thoughts on this thanx

nah skating is awesome and i wish i had more time to get out and skate more..... dont worry what people think if you love something get out and do it

as for the image thing ------ well its like surfing there are surfers and surfies
surfers are the one who actually love being out in the lineup and live for the waves
whilst surfies are just those people who pretend to act like a surfer but actually dont know what they are talking about

just be true to your self and get out there and have a go

skating is good.... i use to skate... not really as much now....


but yeah like every1 says dun worry bout being girl....... i s'pose it was weird at first. but in the end, if you like it, it doesn't really matter what people think.....


anyways its always fun trying to learn new moves..... minus the grazes of course from stacking.....

if ur juz skating for fun, den dats kewl. i mean if ur doing xtreme sports kinda skating, jumping down stairs etc, den i fink dats abit too tomboyish.
and maybe speed skating's a lil tomboyish too

but nice smooth movements are very beautiful

nuffin wrong with gals skating. I kinda got taught how to skate by a gal who lived next door.

yeah man i hate sterotypes like that... like chicks playing pro rugby and soccer...

i hate all the weird looks ppl give me...

skating is shit, cos you hurt yourself too much. i used t skate a fair bit back in the day and was always coming acropper. i only use my longboard skatey now, for transport. that's the shit you should get into, go and find some nice smooth downhill streets and do big carves all the way down.


better then kickflipping a gutter or some shit

there should definitely be more chick skaters..... more chick bladers actually. My friend is a chick blader... she's sponsored by Salomon. Don't do anything for image, do what you want to do cos it's fun or your interested in it

I've been on ramps, jumped stairs and hurt myself a lot. But hey its a lot of fun. I'm too chicken to do anything real serious though.

I primarily like roller hockey. Does anyone play here?

Good old rollerhockey.... used to play with my friends back in Bega... never had like serious competitions or anything... especially seeing there were like 4 people who actually owned a stick... but it was good fun

yeah, roller hockey's the best. You don't get hurt as much and have at least some degree of control on your skates.

I just wish i had somewhere to play and somebody to play with
