Does anyone know any good related text to Jasper Jones?

To Kill a Mockingbird. Jasper Jones is basically a rip off of it anyway. Or do "A time to kill" by John Grisham (Black man discriminated against in court.)

I did JJ last year. Couldn't really stand it.

Can you explain the plots and themes I don't know the text. As oskar suggested to kill a mockingbird, I'd suggest snow falling on cedars, a similar novel that is super similar to jt too.

Our teacher stated that To Kill A Mockingbird is too similar to JJ and that we should do another text type.

The plot is pretty much, like Oskar said, an Australian contemporary parody of To Kill A Mockingbird.

Also there's some family tension. (I recall some rape in JJ?)
