Okay I've got a bit of a weird question here. But I'm currently in the process growing my hair out, I'm at the stage where I can nearly pull all of it back into a bun, only the front bits fall out around my face. I was looking to get into Med if not Advanced science next year in Uni, and was just wondering if my hair length would be unacceptable for health reasons, working in a hospital environment and all. I can fix the loose front bits behind my ears with a couple of pins if that would be necessary. I have a few friends going into nursing and paramedcine, and they tell me in their courses, that if your hair is not long enough to be maintained in a pony tail, then it must be kept a shorter length that does not touch the collar of your shirt.

Like I said, unusual question. Does anyone have an answer for me? It would be a shame f I had to cut it but I'll do what I have to.

Thanks :)

Rofl. Cmon dude. Even if u get into med, you won't be going to hospitals until you're in like 3rd year. Plenty of time to think aye?

Some uni's have you visit hospitals in your first year.

It should be absolutely fine, if it's a problem, then pin it back as you already said you were able to do.

I'm not so sure going to a medicine interview with long hair would make a good first impression either!
