Aboriginal spirituality is the dreaming. The dreaming is the past, present and the future. It is the past, the ancestors who made what is and is composed of oral tradition that is often individual to a particular tribe. Some stories of the past dreaming may include: how the three sisters (Katoomba) we're formed, how the kangaroo got its pouch etc. These past traditions influence how the Aboriginal people relate to the world around them, where they hunt (e.g. may not hunt in a sacred area), what they hunt (preserving species by not only eating one animal) and how the relate to each other and the land as a people. The dreaming also influences the future through the actions of their present.
Aboriginal spirituality involves having a strong connection to the land and how all living beings co-exist in the land. It is important to treat all animals as equal. And if you've seen Avatar recently, they talk about how the death of an animal is sad becuase of the person's stupidity and how the death wasn't a necessity and then they mourn it and things like that. It's kind of the same idea in Aboriginal spirituality that all life has meaning and are depended upon by other animals, people, plants of the land and earth.
Hope this helps
