help ASAP - belonging and tithonus (1 Viewer)

hi.
for my short story it is 99% done, i just want to incorporate the poem Tithonus as a literary reference.

in my story, the main character is sort of like a spirit stuck between the two worlds (like Tithonus). so i THINK i want to say "Just as Tithonus was, I am cursed to roam the earth for all eternity. " then a quote and anaylsis of the quote.

or does anybody have a better idea for just anything in the poem relating to belonging.

I haven't read the poem myself but as stupid as this sounds, do you make the character out to be one that reads poetry or is it just some totally arbitrary thing you want to throw in? It would really help if you provided your whole story.

Are you going to make any specific references to the poem?
