Greetings to my lovely BOSers

As the title says, I need opinions about laptops.

This is me:
- firstly want something light, with good battery life and portable (however, preferably 13 inch screen)
- Usually using Microsoft Office for making notes and assessments (LLB/business) - Word and PPT
- Save everything - pics, music, videos, assessments (even 2-3 years old)
- Web browsing - university website, emails, BOS (ofcourse), youtube (probs 5-10 videos per day)/friday night movies on my laptop

I have saved up around $1500 for this investment, which should last me around 5 years?.

AND two important note:
MY BAD HABIT: usually use my laptop on my bed cos im usually a lazy child
SECOND: I currently have HP Pavilion dv6, it is currently doing the work, however in the 2 and half years of me owning this laptop - it has overheated and shut down for like GOD KNOWS HOW MANY TIMES. Have 3 year warranty, given it for fix like 3 times, really bad battery life (lasts me an hour an half, before i kung fu my way to the charger), so that's about it.

Thank you very much.
Any help is appreciated :wavey:

Highly recommend an ultrabook, esp with SSD. 1.5k can easily get you a good one. Asus tend to work the best imo.
