i was wondering if anyone could help me with the assessment that's coming up, i'm not sure how to study for it, so please give me some ideas.

Module C: phases, tansitions and growing up
"you will be watching a sequence of scences from a film twice, during which you may take notes. Then you will be asked to respond in writing to a set question." Our focus text on "The simple gift" by Steven Herrick.

Is it a book?? or a film?

It looks like a listening task.

For us..i had a listening task for "The Club" where we were made to listen to an unknown tape...and a small extract from The Club..

so yeah u never know what they'd ask in a listening task.

if it is a film all u can do is watch it twice...and just read thru the techniques that could be possibly asked...or that relate to different sections of the text: e.g. tone, irony etc.
