Can someone please explain this statement, espescially the one underlined:
"DC motors and generates are similar, but the terminals of a motor go to a voltage source, while the terminals of a generator go to a load. The motor is the load in a DC motor.

In a motor, current from your power supply powers the motor and makes it rotate - hence it is the 'load'.

In a generator, the generator is the power supply and so the load is whatever the generator is powering i.e. a light bulb

(Not sure if this was a semantic question or you wanted an explanation on how each one works?)
