I was looking through the past HSC questions and this one sorta confuzzled me.


"How significant was the military victory in the Civil War for the consolidation of power in the period up to 1924?"

Like I know you would mention it was the last major source of internal opposition and allowed the Bolsheviks for the first time to assert authority over Russia as a whole.

I assume you would also argue that the subsequent NEP was also significant as it reduced social contempt and all

But i feel there isnt much more to discuss :S

Any suggestions?

You should try and argue that it was "very significant". This is because if you choose to argue that it wasnt significant, you would have to bring in other events, which makes the essay extremely complicated to write.
