I got ATAR 62 i am first yr UWS IT student with semester 1 3.75 GPA (3 C and 1 F)

Should i apply for transfer to Maq or possibly UTS? I know the deadline is 27 Sept if you don't want to pay extra 200 bucks or something for late fee.

I'm going to study in summer 2 units, currently doing 3 units.

UWS have a 7 point scale, 4 is roughly equivalent to 1 on most other scales.

What do you think Brent? Another semester at UWS in 2014 and go for mid-year or do i somehow still have a chance?

For Commerce internal transfer at Macquarie you only need 2.0.
So external I'd say 2.5

you're on 2.25 on our scale so grab another 5 credit and you'd even have a shot at UTS.

So is opting to do an extra unit in summer a good idea to try and make up for my fail?

With 3 credit this semester it would pull your gpa to around 2.5 so your chances are high.

I would personally do two over the summer.
Not for gaining admission but to get 8 units for credit transfer, so I won't prolong my time in uni just for 2 units.

Can someone explain, like if you did one subject and got a distinction that means your GPA is 6/7 but someone does more subjects and it is harder so that couldn't get 6/7 and got 5/7, then how does it work? do they balance it out because of the workload or something?
