Higher X or Normal X (1 Viewer)

I was just wondering what the difference in maths is between the normal and the higher version. For eg Mathametics 1a and Higher Mathematics 1a.
Is it worth it to do the higher version or do they just make your WAM worse?

Are you good at maths? Take the higher.

Like Shadowdude said... if both are running they don't give many high grades in the ordinary version and they won't give as high a maximum mark. For a good maths student you should get a higher mark in the Higher. If you aren't so good, you're much better doing the easier exam in the Ordinary.

There isn't that much difference between ordinary and higher in first year...it gets a lot more in later years.
