Hotmail/Messenger Password (1 Viewer)

OK, so i can sign into my msn messenger no problem,
if someone sends me an email while im logged in i get the little "you have recived and email from ..." but i cant get into my actual email.
When i try it says im not signed in, so i try to sign in then it says "incorrect email adress/password"

What the hell!!! Its exactly the same account i use to sign into my messanger.

I tried the reset password option but i cant remember the answer to my secret question (dammit, i was tyring to be too smart) And then the STUPID thing goes that it will send me an email on how to reset my password, BUT I CANT GET INTO MY EMAIL!

Sigh, help!!!

Tell people to stop sending you emails and talk to you on msn instead.

You wouldnt happen to be using firefox would you?

Anyway there are numerous issues like yours been reported since Microsoft switched from .Net passport to Microsoft Passport Service. Seems like they still have a few bugs to fix.


It wouldnt be your password, as thats common to all ms sevices that use the passport service.

Try clearing your Cache and cookies and try again.

cool, sounds like a plan... now how would i go about doing that exactly?
Im quite computer retarded (seriously all i can do on the computer is chat, use BOS and email people... and now i cant even do that)

My email adress has uses besides that of the social kind. Plus what am i supoosed to do? Ring people and tell them to meet me on messengar rather than sending me a convenient email? Its just not practical. Thnx anyway.

yeah i have that sort of thing happen a fair bit, and i'm not using firefox.

i find that if i just open up a new browser window, go to hotmail and log in like that it will work, just don't follow the link from msn.

otherwise, if you have another hotmail address, sign in with that, sign out again, then sign in manually. and don't click "save my email address"... that stuffs mine up too.
