You write 1500 words in 45 mins, quite identical.

You cannot compare your wpm speed. Characters per minute is more accurate. For instance my Belonging essay took a lot more time to write compared to my module essays because it had significantly longer words.

Wow, how do you guys write so fast?

I timed myself earlier copying a text and reached 135 words in 5 minutes.. so 1215 words in 45 minutes.

Way to make me feel like shit

Over 1000 if it's a prepared essay

probably 800-1000 if it's on the spot

I re-timed myself writing the first things that came to my mind and reached around 45 words a minute.. so like 2025? I attempted to make the words long.

I guess I need to accurately time myself over a period of 45minutes with an actual memorised essay.

Prepared essay will help in HSC. As the questions revolve around the same idea.

But 1000 is enough for an essay in the HSC

I can write at a decent rate but it comes at the expense of legibility. Pretty bad trade off IMO.

That's very true.

I think I'm much slower at writing now (thanks computing >_<).

I wrote collectively about 4500-5000 words last year in my Paper 2 exam. Keeping in mind though these were all pre-prepared memorised essays.

In my HSC economics exam, I wrote 2 essays that were 1980 words and 2040 words each - both of these were written on the spot, and I wrote them in each in about one hour, including thinking/planning time.
