how many marks should u lose in a 6 marker for writing the wrong equation (3 Viewers)

it was an equilibrium question to calculate the keq and i wrote down the wrong chemical formula for a substance which led me to write the wrong equation, and thus the wrong molar ratio, wrong ice table, and wrong equilibrium expression

but like based off of my wrong equation they were all right, and my answer was right based off of that ifykwim but i lost like 3 marks for doing all of those wrong. would that not constitute an error carried forward so that i only lose like 1 mark?? or does chem not do that

isnt that ecf? I think it may depend tho. My school deducts marks even with ecf if the process led to a simpler calculation than what was intended.

a good and fair marker would give 5 out of 6 for that. Why the fuck are they taking like 50% of your marks away just cause of a simple mistake? In maths they do ECF all the time even if you miswrite an expression as long as the following working is correct. Just complain to NESA if the teacher still refuses to increase ur marks
