I want to get into arts(media and communications) and the ATAR is 95.5. However, I may not get high enough, but im certain I will get 94.5+, do I still have a chance to get in through the later rounds with this ATAR?

511207 B Arts(Media & Communications) 95.50

From 2014 UAC pdf. Note the lack of a (V) next to the ATAR cut-off, meaning it fills up during main round. So, if they do this kind of stuff the way I think they do it, they won't open it for later rounds and so there's probs not much of a chance for you to get into the course at later rounds.

Just because a course does not have V next to it after the main round does not mean that no offers will be made in future rounds. You will find many cases where students at usyd have been made offers in the later rounds foor courses with no V. V is more of a signal to potential applicants that there would be a very good chance of an offer to one of those courses if you changed your preference and you had the ATAR that was listed in the main round.

Suggest you do some research yourself to see if there are patterns of cutoffs increasing or decreasing between rounds
