anybody know how many students sitting for HSC in 2003??

say its 40000, and my rank is 400, does that mean my uai is 99.00?? (1%)

thanx for any help :)

yeah its roughly 60,000

and no not really, because u have to take into account that u are ranked out of 80-90,000 because the UAI is calculated from the canditure that sat the Year 10 school certificate, 2 yrs ago

I remember reading something that said about 2% of the candidature got 99+ last year, and about 16% for 90+.

So this could mean that someone who dropped out in yr 10 could by default be ranked better than a yr12 student ?;)

nope, because they didnt sit the HSC, therefore their theoretical UAI cannot be higher than a person that got a UAI

only about 40-50,000 students get a UAI, out of the 80-90,000 canditure that sat the Year 10 exams 2 yrs ago. So that is why, ~850 get a UAI of 99.00 (top 1%), as opposed to 400

well, u do the math..
I dunno, around 10% of 80,000-90,000
or 16% of the UAI canditure
